The short answer
As of October 2026, SEAB has not published the PSLE 2027 timetable. Nobody outside SEAB knows the exact dates yet, including tuition centres and assessment-book publishers. Be careful with any page that lists them as fact.
What we can tell you is what is already confirmed, what last year’s pattern suggests, and how to plan without the dates.
We will update this page as soon as SEAB publishes the 2027 timetable. Last checked: 12 October 2026. Mustard Seed is an independent tuition provider and is not affiliated with SEAB or MOE.
What is confirmed: the 2027 school calendar
MOE announced the 2027 school terms and holidays in July 2026. For primary schools:
| Period | Dates |
|---|---|
| Term 1 | 4 January (P1) or 5 January (P2 to P6) to 12 March 2027 |
| March holidays | 13 to 21 March 2027 |
| Term 2 | 22 March to 28 May 2027 |
| June holidays | 29 May to 27 June 2027 |
| Term 3 | 28 June to 3 September 2027 |
| September holidays | 4 to 12 September 2027 |
| Term 4 | 13 September to 19 November 2027 |
| Year-end holidays | 20 November to 31 December 2027 |
What 2026 suggests
In 2026, primary schools shared these tentative PSLE dates with parents:
| PSLE 2026 | Tentative date |
|---|---|
| Oral examinations | 12 and 13 August |
| Listening Comprehension | 15 September |
| Written examinations | 24 to 30 September |
| Results | November |
For English, the order matters more than the exact days. The Oral came first, in Term 3, about six weeks before the written papers. Listening came in Term 4, shortly before the written papers. If 2027 follows a similar pattern, the Oral would again come in Term 3, a few weeks after the June holidays.
That is a pattern, not a prediction. Please wait for SEAB’s timetable before you plan anything around a specific day.
How to plan without the dates
You do not need the exact dates to start well. The school terms give you enough to work with:
- Year-end holidays 2026: rest, read and build light habits. Our guide to starting P6 has a holiday plan.
- Terms 1 and 2: build skills, one at a time: Synthesis and Transformation patterns, the PEEL structure for the Oral, and reading the question first in Listening.
- June holidays: the natural time to focus on the Oral, since it has come first.
- Term 3 onwards: full timed practice for the written papers and Listening.
Our term-by-term plan sets this out in full, with a weekly routine.
What is tested in PSLE English
PSLE English has four papers: Writing (25%), Language Use and Comprehension (45%), Listening Comprehension (10%) and the Oral (20%). Our complete guide to PSLE English 2027 explains each one, and how the AL grade is worked out.

Questions parents ask
When will the PSLE 2027 timetable be published?
SEAB has not announced a date. We will update this page when the timetable is out. If you follow us on Telegram, we will post it there as well.
Will the 2027 Oral be in August again?
We do not know yet. In 2026, schools shared tentative Oral dates of 12 and 13 August. It is reasonable to expect a similar order, but please wait for SEAB’s timetable before booking anything around specific days.
Does my child need to register for the PSLE?
Registration for school candidates is handled through the school. If you are unsure, your child’s form teacher or the school office can confirm.
