"Becoming Class Monitor"
Good morning, everyone. Today, I would like to share with you my experience of becoming the new class monitor this year.
When my teacher first announced that I had been chosen, I felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. I had never held such a responsibility before, and I wondered if I would be able to do a good job. On my first day as monitor, I had to lead my classmates to assembly and make sure everyone lined up quietly. My hands were slightly shaky, but I reminded myself to stay calm.
Over the next few weeks, I slowly grew more confident. I learnt to speak up when the class was too noisy, and I made sure to greet my teachers politely every morning. There were times when some classmates did not listen to me, and I had to learn how to handle such situations patiently instead of getting upset.
My teacher once told me, "A good leader does not need to shout to be heard." That advice has stayed with me ever since. Being class monitor has taught me the importance of responsibility, patience and leading by example.
I am grateful for this opportunity, as it has helped me grow into a more confident and responsible student. Thank you.
